This paper proposes a method for efficient initialization and crash recovery for Flash-memory file systems. A log management scheme for the Flash-memory file systems is presented. The proposed log management method is implemented in a log-record manager and a logger. It was written by Chin-Hsien Wu, Tei-Wei Kuo and Li-Pin Chang of the Department of Computer Science of National Taiwan University, Taipei, TAIWAN, and presented at an international SAC Conference in 2006.
